Climbing & Abseiling
Guernsey has some great climbing – good rock and thousands of routes at all grades with virtually no-one using them.
The West coast crags offer many easy access short routes that are great for training and for youth groups or parties, while the South coast offers dramatic scenery to compliment some fantastic and thrilling climbing.
Abseiling the magnificent 90 foot slab at the Guet is on many peoples ‘must do’ list! Two indoor climbing walls are also available for groups. Indoor climbing is popular for parties and youth groups. Abseiling at the Guet is a popular challenge for groups.
FOR WHO:
West Coast: Age 7+.
Abseiling at the Guet: Age 12+.
COST:
Climbing (90 mins): £299 for up to 12 people, then £28.00 per person for extras. Maximum 18.
Abseiling (2 hours): £299 for up to 10 people.
WHERE:
West Coast Climbing at Grande Rocque, Port Soif or Pembroke.
South Coast Climbing in various locations.
Abseiling at the Guet, Cobo.
Indoor Climbing at Rue Mainguy or St Sampsons
WHAT GEAR:
You Bring: Trainers, long sleeves and trousers recommended for outdoor climbing to prevent grazes.
We Provide: Harnesses, helmets.
BAD WEATHER:
Use the indoor climbing walls, do a different activity, postpone or refund.
